Impact rarely arises where you first expect it. It is not the content of a message that decides whether it lands, but the way it is carried – stance, tempo, inner commitment. Two nearly identical messages have different effects depending on the conviction with which they are delivered. Content is the admission ticket; the stance behind it decides whether someone stays. This is exactly where the Viennese voice and presence coach Stimmbaum comes in, whose podcast has for years examined why some appearances stay in memory and others fizzle out.

Recently a guest was marketing expert and keynote speaker Thomas Daamen, whose talk on brand leadership and brand strategy of Love Brands, “Together – From Zero to Love Brand,” begins exactly here. What the voice is to Stimmbaum, the organization is to Daamen: a Love Brand does not emerge at the desk but in a company’s lived stance. Basically every marketing team owns the most beautiful strategy paper, says Daamen – the difference is made by the motivation that carries a brand, not that of the brand managers alone but of the entire organization. He justifies his credentials soberly: he is not a trainer, not a coach, but a marketing director with two decades in marketing, sales and management.

How sustainable this is, is shown by Aperol in Germany: in 2007 a nearly unknown product with no place among the top 100, today one of the most successful spirits in the country – not primarily through campaign budgets but because the organization lived its stance toward the brand instead of merely communicating it. This is exactly the bond described by the concept of Love Brands – a brand loyalty that goes beyond mere trust.

“A brand does not live on the loudness of its campaign but on the clarity of its stance,” he sums it up – a formula that holds for voices just as much as for brands.
